Ghorepani Trek
Our trek starts with a hike up to Tikhedhunga (1550m) from Nayapool (1100m). But before that, trekkers will go on an enriching sightseeing tour and explore the ancient streets of Kathmandu valley. This offers you an instance to walk down the memory lane of ancient culture and traditions of Nepalese people. We tour around one of the holiest ancient Buddhist monasteries in the world, Swayambhunath stupa. Along with that, we also visit the Boudhanath stupa which is another sacred Buddhist shrine located inside Kathmandu. In addition to that, we pay a visit to Pashupatinath temple and Patan Durbar Square before concluding our tour.
Moving ahead from Tikhedhunga, we continue walking to our next destination called Ghorepani. This place is widely popular for its affectionate and heartwarming local Gurung communities. And then we make our way past the appealing spot of Poonhill for a sojourn to the Gurung Village of Ghandruk. Lastly, we will trail back to Nayapool and head to Pokhara marking the end of our wonderful trek. Breathtaking sunrise and sunset views, pleasant rhododendron forest and display of unaltered cultures makes this a joyous adventure for all.
Suitable for every level of hikers-family, this trek doesn’t require much physical fitness. And doesn’t have any acclimatization issues for trekkers to worry about. Likewise, we generally recommend March to May and Sep to Nov as the best time period for this trek.
