Annapurna Base Camp
This two weeks trip will turn out to be your once in a life time moment. The second most popular trek of Nepal after the Everest Base Camp Trek is the, Annapurna Base Camp trek. If you want to do something amazing here in Nepal but you don’t have enough time, then this trek is for you. Thakali and Gurung people own most of the teahouses on the trail and they are known for their amazing hospitality and culture. The best season to visit would be Mar-May/Oct-Jan .
Itinerary
Day 1: Kathmandu
Today, you will meet the whole crew and we will help you do a final gear check before leaving tomorrow. We can help you shop for necessities if you need to go shopping. Leisure day in Kathmandu.
Altitude: 1400 m
Overnight: 3 star hotel in Kathmandu
Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara (private jeep/bus)
The first day of our trek, we will leave Kathmandu with filling breakfast. You can carry some snacks, water, etc. for the bus ride. Once we leave the valley, there will be more turns and scenic green hills. Most of the road is in good condition except when crossing small streams. Along the way, we will enjoy the river view and occasionally, some glimpses of the Ganesh Himal. After lunch, we will get back on the road. After around 7 hours, we will reach Pokhara. Pokhara is a beautiful city with almost everything that you can think of. Walking around the town is a good idea if you want to stretch your legs out after the tiring ride.

Day 3: Pokhara to Birethanti to Ulleri
We leave early and move westwards to Pokhara. This town is set in a beautiful valley and we can see the Machhapucchare Himal right infront of us. We will have our lunch at Birethanti. If we have time, we can refresh ourselves in the cool ponds of the Bhurungdi Khola. Here on, we start walking. We follow the Bhurungdi Khola upstream arrive at a rest stop, Tikhedhungga. This tiny village is renowned for its variety of local beer called chyang. If you are interested, you can buy some to enjoy when we arrive at the teahouse tonight. Then we start the long steep climb up a stone staircase to the top of Ulleri, which gets it’s name from the 3000 steep stone stairs. After a long day, we will unwind and rest.

Day 4: Ulleri to Ghorepani
Ulleri is a rich village in terms of culture and traditions. It is inhabited by the Brahmin, Chhetris of the indo-aryan origin and by the Magars, Gurungs of the Tibetan origin. Winding out of Ulleri, we find ourselves in midst of the colorful rhododendron forests. Today’s trail is lively with mules tolling bells and the local traders moving towards Mustang. Passing various streams, tiny villages, we make our way towards our destination for the day, Ghorepani. When we exit the forest, it’s a whole different world. We are standing right in front of the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and other giants. You can explore the village and come back for dinner.

Day 5: Ghorepani to Tadapani
Today on the fifth day of the trek, we will wake up early and hike to Poonhill to catch the sunrise views of the Himalayas. It is one of the first picks in Nepal to watch the sunrise. As the sun emerges from behind the mountains, the sky is painted red and pink with the striking snowcapped mountains in the front. This is a moment you will never forget. You will be glad that you got yourself out of bed. To get breakfast, we head back to Ghorepani and make our way towards Tadapani. Enjoying the fresh and clean atmosphere, we will arrive ta Tadapani after about two hours. Explore the village and take pictures of and with superb view of the Annapurna south and the Machhapucchre peak.

Day 6: Tadapani to Chhomrong
Today’s trail is a very pleasant one. Especially for bird lovers, the lush green forests and terraced hills will make you feel like you don’t want to be anywhere else. As we go up and down through through lovely maple and fern forest, we will reach Chhomrong.

Day 7: Chhomrong to Himalaya Hotel
We will start our day after some hearty breakfast at Chhomrong. Then, we descend on a stone staircase to cross the Chhomrong Khola. We pass through jungle of oak, hemlock and bamboo. We go up and down till we reach the Dobhan village. We will have our lunch here. The trail will have waterfalls and rhododendrons clad forests. It will take about 5-6 hours to reach Dovan so we will take a break and then walk a little further to the Himalayan Hotel village. This is where we are going to stay for the night. Tonight, we prepare ourselves for the ultimate climb of tomorrow.

Day 8: Himalaya Hotel to Machhapucchre Base Camp
After breakfast, we will ascend higher past the Hinko cave, which used to serve as a camping stop for the first expeditions to the Base camp. As the trail becomes steeper, we notice fewer trees and vegetations. The valley widens as we arrive closer to the sanctuary gates. After a few hours, we will enter the Annapurna Sanctuary and arrive at the Machhapuchhare Base camp first. The view here is breathtaking as we stand surrounded by Himalayan giants. Here we are at 3700m, so you will need to fuel your body with warm food and water as you may start to feel the altitude. So, resting and lounging in the teahouse area enjoying the view is a good idea.

Day 9: Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp
Today is a big day. We start our day with some good healthy breakfast. We walk for two hours to the ABC surrounded by snow-capped peaks of some of the highest ones in the world. As you walk this trail, you will know what exactly the once in a lifetime moment means. This is ABC. As you stand in between the mountains circling you, you are one of them. They are you. Nothing in this world can top the magic you can feel in the air. We stay in one of the teahouses in Annapurna Base Camp tonight.

Day 10: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo
Today, we retrace our steps back to the Bamboo village. There’s no rush so we can take our time and admire the scenery that mesmerized us so.

Day 11: Bamboo to Jhinuwa (
The trail downwards to Jhinudanda is very beautiful with some ups and downs. With colorful rhododendron forests, we move along green hills. Jhinu dada is famous for its natural hot spring. Soak in the hot tub and rid your body of all tiredness of the days ahead. You can also enjoy massage and spa here and explore the places around. This is our stop for the day. So, relax and have fun.

Day 12: Jhinuwa to Pothana
After breakfast, we make our way towards Pothana. We cross the Modi Khola and reach the beautiful Landruk and Tolka village. Then, we pass through the oak forests and arrive at Pothana. This is the last place to catch the mountain views so take as much time as you want. We end our day in Pothana watching the sunset in the hills.

Day 13: Pothana to Pokhara
It’s a short trek down to Phedi via Dhampus. After a final descent through the forest, we will get on our private jeep and make our way towards Pokhara. We will reach Pokhara at noon. So, we can go around the city if you want to. Do some boating, visit the cafes, try street food, do some souvenir shopping, anything you feel like.

Day 14: Pokhara to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we drive towards Pokhara. All the hiking is over. So, you can sit back and reminisce about your trip. Arrive at the Kathmandu hotel and plop down after a full day of on the jeep. Relax.

Day 15: celebration party Today, we will celebrate in the joy of a fun and memorable ABC trip. Our crew members will join and we will be together for the last day. Share your story with the team and have fun.
