Achievements
GHT:
The Great Himalayan Trail explores regions and routes that have history thousands of years old. Exploring the trade routes that locals used for years before, I and Mr. Robin Boustead set out on a journey full of unexpected challenges and treasures.
In the year of 2008, we started our journey of the unexplored trails which paved the way to the modern GHT. First, we did the GHT east and then continued on to do the rest. The GHT tested our minds and bodies in every way possible but also changed our lives. It took us a total of 162 days. Exploring the majestic country east to west was a remarkable experience which would change the course of trekking for Nepal and Nepali people.
In summary Pema’s Achievements:
2003 – Basic Mountaineering Training (Nepal Mountaineering Association, Alpine Association of Slovenia)
2006 – Basic Mountain Rescue and First Aid (Nepal Mountaineering Association)
2007 – International Advanced Course in Mountain Medicine and Rescue (Institute de Formation et de Recherche en Medicine de Montagne, IFREMMONT)

Experience:
From organizing treks to leading them himself, Pema has been doing it for more than 33 years now. In those past years, he has walked the entire great length of Nepal 6 times and done countless expeditions and treks.
Every staff in our agency is personally recruited by Pema having proved themselves. Besides, many of our staffs are sourced locally who know their area the best.
While our 4 years stay in Kathmandu, we did many unforgettable trekkings: Annapurna, Everest, Helambu, Langtang and even a tent trek to Mustang with our parents. “During this time we always appreciated having our friendly and reliable guide, Pema.
After a couple of years coming back to Nepal with our two babus (Florian 51/2, Livio 31/2) we once more enjoyed the beautiful countryside with ist wonderful people. Our 6 days tent trekking was a great experience for all of us. Pema organised everything very well and we were happy spending a great time with him and his friendly staff.”
