Champadevi Day Hiking is an easy and enjoyable hike to the eastern summit of the southwestern rim of the Kathmandu valley. The hiking starts at Pharping village on the way to the famous Dakshinkali Temple, a temple dedicated to goddess Kali. This hiking explores the lush greenery and the authentic lifestyle in the countryside. Also, it offers an amazing view of the surrounding landscape and the beautiful view of the Himalayas from the top of the hill. Champadevi Day Hikingtakes the hikers on a short tour that has the element of exotic atmosphere, spirituality, natural diversity, cultural diversity and religious harmony as well. Champadevi is itself a sacred destination where offerings are made to the goddess on various occasions.

Luxury Holiday Trek’s Champadevi Day Hiking starts from the Pharping village reached after an hour’s drive to the village. A hiking of around 3-4 hours to the summit of Champadevi hill navigates past the famous Pharping monastery. And also, through pine and rhododendron forests decorated with prayer flags. The hiking also provides beautiful view of the rolling hills and snow-capped mountains at a far distance. From Pharping village the hikers have a gradual uphill climb for about half an hour towards the ridge. And further ahead in the trail through the beautiful forest to Champadevi, the destination of Champadevi Day Hiking.

On reaching the top, it offers a view of mountains including the Langtang, Gauri Shankar, Jugal, Dorje Lakpa and several other mountains. Atop the hill we also have a beautiful Buddhist stupa as well as the shrine of Hindu Goddess, Champadevi. After admiring the beauty of the surrounding and exploring it, we descent down from the hill towards the historic city of Kirtipur. Beyond Champadevi hill we can continue up and down to an unnamed crest along the west for an hour. After this, the trail leads us to the ridge of Bhasmesur. It is the place beyond which we traverse along the trail to the village of Machhegaon. Then finally to Kirtipur, the destination from where we conclude the day hiking and drive back to Kathmandu
